Instructor Note

One possible source of errors and problems that may occur and should be discussed is the delimiters. A title with commas has been deliberately included in the file so that this title can be displayed across several fields if different separators are selected.

XML

Instructor Note

It is likely that not all participants will complete the exercise in the time allotted, as the notation of XML is very complex. This is part of the learning process and can be discussed afterwards. Alternatively, more time can be allocated to the exercise or only selected elements have to be written in XML.

Instructor Note

The exercise can be done in groups if there are many participants. Otherwise, someone can present their solution in the end and discuss it together. Discussion topics should include the two ways of writing empty elements and making sure that special characters such as & are caught. There can also be a general discussion about the headings or naming of the tags, or what certain tags mean, e.g. onView means ‘on view’ in the current exhibition.
